My winter so far has consisted of baking (and cooking), shopping for cute things (blank books and Benetint from Sephora), eating pho for the first time (verdict: AMAZING), and going to Downtown Houston for New Year’s Day. Something not included in these photos: making lists! Lots and lots of lists.
School is a little over a week away and I am more than ready for it to start and for the weather to stay warm. Winter has been good, but spring will be even better.
New layout for the new year! I’m so glad it’s finally here.
Made some homemade sugar cookies with vanilla frosting and crushed candy canes with Rocio. Surprisingly, they were really good.
I had a good time bonding with her yesterday. I forgot what it’s like to have an older sister, honestly. I’m glad she’s back from Tennessee for good.
Reading, writing, eating…learning.
I’ve been reading On Writing: A Memoir on the Craft by Stephen King for the past two days to write a long feature article for class. I am surprised at how much I’m enjoying reading it. It’s kind of two/three books in one: part memoir, part writing guide and a small guide on living. It has a pretty interesting organization to it.
I had a tough school week but I’m glad I worked it all out.
I love buying Halloween things.
I will be spending Halloween night baking cupcakes with Jonathan!

I got through my first week of school! Here’s a few things that happened…
I’m excited and can’t wait to get through this week too.
On updating
Lack of good pictures = lack of posts.
Hopefully I’ll have more picture-worthy moments once school starts next week.
Summer is finally winding down even though it will stay hot for the next few months. Fall is almost here and not long after, the holiday season! I’ve been listening to holiday music on Pandora for the past few days to make this transition into the cooler seasons much sweeter :)
